Happy Birthday Daddy!

Singing happy birthday!

Instructing Daddy on how to cut the cake!

You can see the sugar already getting to him ;)

So, yesterday Ryan had one of those BIG birthdays :) We celebrated all weekend long! On Saturday night my sister, Emily, came over to spend the night. We had a BIG supper with Ryan's favorite--steak! On Sunday we had a little get together with some family and friends to help Ryan celebrate turning 30 :) Jack was so good on Sunday. Thanks to my sister Ryan and I were actually able to get a few things done around the house! Jack had a blast with his Auntie Emma-me! Yesterday, on Ryan's actual birthday Jack and I took Ryan out for dinner (wings!) and had birthday cake. On our way home from daycare we stopped to pick up a DQ cake. Jack stood in front of the cooler taking his time picking out the perfect cake for his Daddy! He was just so cute. We practiced singing happy birthday. (pretty sure hearing Jack sing Happy Birthday was one of the cutest things I have EVER heard!) All in all I think Ryan had a pretty good 30th Birthday! If anything, the sugar high that Jack got from the cake sure made his day! hehe Luckily Jack doesn't really care for too many sweets because the cake he had last night resulted in a good hour of him running around the house, yelling and giggling! He just kept yelling, "I want cake, I want chocolate--happy birthday!" So funny!

Some of Jack's recent funny stories--
After Ryan put the crib up in his room for the new baby Jack took one look at it and said "baby's crib--baby go ni-night!" Poor kid really has no idea what is coming :)

When handing Ryan his birthday present that he helped pick out and wrap he told Ryan, "it's pants!" Guess he won't be helping me wrap any Christmas presents hehe!

On Sunday after Ryan's party, we were sitting outside and Jack walked behind the house. I went to peak at him and he was sitting on his little picnic table. When I asked him what he was doing he said, "I'm in time-out." I asked him why are you in time out and his answer was--"I hit!" I don't know who or what he hit--maybe one of the dogs but he felt like he needed a time out!

I don't know what we did for entertainment before Jack arrived! He sure keeps us laughing and on our toes all the time!
