Things here seem to never slow down...I know I shouldnt expect it to since we have two kiddos but we are always running around!
This past week Lydia had her final follow up for her UTI. One last cath (thank goodness) to check things! I am very happy to say that everything is clear! FINALLY! Since it was close to her 9 month well child they did that appt too. Lydia is doing well. Right on track with everything. Weighs in at 17#3oz (28%) and 26 3/4 inches (40%) She is babbling away now. More than Jack ever did. She hasnt started using "mama or dada" yet but she is so cute when she is sitting just "baba-ing away." Her favorite place to babble the most and the loudest is Church....Figures! She is doing both army and hands and knees crawling, getting into sitting and pulling to a stand!! She hasnt pulled up on the couch but she uses the wash baskets or boxes to get all the way up. She is starting to do better with more foods. Ever since she had been sick, eating was a struggle. She is eating baby foods and some finger foods so we are going the right direction. (this is SO different than Jack!) We are so lucky to have such a happy, laid back baby!
Jack was 2 1/2 last month, going on 4! HA! He knows his ABCs, can spell his name *most of the time, can write his name with some help and IS FULLY POTTY TRAINED during the day and naps! He has been in undies for over a month and I debate about trying undies at night as he is dry 95% of the time in the morning. We will see. He is just so talkative and fun. He is looking forward to "balentine's day" to had out his cards to his friends. He loves his little sister and she just adores him. This past week he was talking about boys and girls. he told Ryan and I that he was a boy and when we asked what Lydia was he thought and answered, "a girl........and a princess." Sometimes I dont know where he comes up with these things.
This past weekend was a fun one for all of us. My cousin Lucas was playing basketball down at the Target Center so we packed up the family to stay in a hotel and go to the game. Jack often pretends that he is Lucas. he will pretend to play basketball or baseball and tell us he is either Lucas or playing like him! So cute! Anyways, we had a blast spending time with family, watching Lucas play and that night attending the Timberwolves game! Jack was in awe of everything and lydia was so good during the game. What a fun family activity! We are so grateful to have a close knit family here. The kids were spoiled to death and loved every minute!
