HI everyone! I cannot believe that it has already been a week since my last update! This past week has really flown by!!
Let me see....Last week Ryan was gone almost all week on a work trip. He got home on Thursday afternoon. When he was gone, there was a night when he fell asleep and didn't call me to say the usual goodnight! I tried calling and was a little upset after 2 hours of trying to get ahold of him with no answer. I knew in my "normal" mind that he was probably just sleeping but my "pregnant" mind took over and I became someone I have never really seen before. By the time he called me 3 hours later, I was an emotional wreck! Ahhh, the lovely hormones of pregnancy. Needless to say, Ryan was very good about calling me the rest of the week :)
Our weekend was pretty laid back. On Friday night some of our neighbors came over for the evening and we just had dinner. Then on Sat, we spent the majority of the day being a bit lazy and cleaning the house. On Sunday we went to church, did some shopping and met some friends at Famous Daves. After dinner our night kind of went down hill as Ryan ended up with a case of food poisoning--yuck! I narrowed it down to the potato salad at Famous Daves--poor guy! He was feeling better by Monday afternoon but he was pretty uncomfortable for those 12 hours he was sick!
Last night I had my 28 week appointment with my OB. Ryan had to work so I went by myself which was no big deal--until I found out that she was running over an hour late! It made me so mad! I left work early to go to the appointment and Ryan didn't come because he couldn't leave work early! All it would have taken was a phone call to let me know how late she was running and I could have shown up a bit later and not missed any work! How frustrating! The worst part is the receptionist told me that Dr. Lundeen was running "a little behind" a little bit of a understatement if you ask me! Anyways, after all that waiting my appointment lasted about 10 mins. Everything looks really good. My blood pressure is back to normal for the first time in months so we are going to decrease the meds I am on for that! I am still measuring ahead so I will have another ultrasound in a month to check the babies size and the amniotic fluid level. Next week I will be doing to Gestational Diabetes screen again as this is the time in the pregnancy that most women do the test. This Friday I will officially be in the third trimester! I cannot believe that I am already to the point where I have to see the doctor every two weeks! Time is sure flying by-our little guy will be here before we know it!
Thats all for now! Thanks for checking in :) Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend!
