Hey Everyone! Hopefully you all had a great weekend!
Ryan spent most of the weekend visiting friends up at Breezy Point. Ryan and his friend Bobby H. had decided that they were going to do the 1st annual Ryan-Bob 200 and go 200 miles on their snowmobiles in one day. They did succeed and actually ended up going 211miles to be exact! I know Ryan had a great time. It is nice to actually have enough snow to go out and "play" in it!
This weekend I did a lot of driving around but it was all worth it. I meet some friends at the Southdale Mall on Saturday. It was really a good time but also a little sad since we were saying goodbye to our friend Jess :( I was pretty bummed most of the day but I know that she has quite the adventure in front of her as she heads to Alaska for the next 3 years!! Who knows, maybe Ryan and I will visit soon! That evening, I headed to Stillwater to a friends housewarming party. It was so nice to just relax and talk with everyone I haven't seen in months and some I haven't seen in years!! Thank you Tom and Naomi for inviting me :)
Yesterday, I went to see my Endocrinologist. It actually was a really good visit! This is the first time that I have seen him that he hasn't told me how "out of whack" my body is! YAY! He showed me some labs that have been drawn every few weeks and how much they have decreased since my diagnosis. It was nice to see that at the time of my diagnosis, Dec 2nd, my Free T4 (lab value that shows how "bad" my hyperthyriodism is) was >7.7!! The normal is 0.5-1. Yesterday it was already down to 1.1 so we are cutting back on the amount of medication I am taking. I was very excited about that! I still have some mild hyperthyriodism going on but he is very happy with how quickly my body responded to the medication. Tonight I have another OB visit and then I am hoping we can start cutting back on the frequency of visits. Going to two doctors every two weeks is getting to be a little much but we will see what she says.
Lastly, I have a funny little thing to share from yesterday...I was cleaning and scrubbing everything down and then I started really getting into the organizing and VERY deep cleaning! When Ryan came home, I had a huge list of "things" that we need to get done before the baby arrives. Poor Ryan tried to tell me that we still have a long time to do stuff but I wasn't agreeing--he finally convienced me that we could wait to clean the ceilings for a few months. hehe-I don't know if that is nesting or what but if it is, we are in for a long 5 months :)
LOL, thats funny!!!! I did the same thing...I was like we have to be ready in case the baby comes early...Jayson was like Amanda the baby is not going to come 5 months early....hehe....but you know what, it felt good to get the house that clean. Its like you have super human strength when it comes to cleaning...weird....hehe!!!
