2012

This year started out a little rough with the kiddos being sick and Lydia not being herself but I think (fingers crossed) we are getting back to normal. Lydia finished the antibiotics yesterday and has been back to her happy self for a few days now! She wasn't into baby food even before being sick but since Sunday she has finally started eating 1-2 jars a day! Yippie! She also started army crawling two nights ago. Before she got sick, she was already getting on her hands and knees rocking but I am sure being sick for three weeks has set her back a bit.
Jack is doing well. He is just so funny but he is also starting to test us at times. He has started back-talking. (which i wasn't expecting until 3-4yrs old!) For example, I will ask him to do something and he will reply with a no, you do it and when I tell him that saying that is not nice or naughty he will look at me and tell me No, your being naughty! Ahhh the joys of having an strong willed two year old. Speaking of being strong willed, Jack is being difficult with potty training. we know he knows when he needs to go and he totally gets the concept but he is so stubborn! He will hold it at daycare for 8 hours at a time just because he refuses to go to the bathroom bc he might miss something! He has been wearing undies to daycare and at home for about 10 days with maybe a handful of accidents but he has to be forced to go at daycare! (at home we usually just tell him to go and he does or he will go in the bathroom on his own!) I know he is afraid to miss something at daycare but we are determined to stay in undies--no going back to diapers! We have found the bribery works and we are going with it...I am sure there will be more updates on this in the future!
Here are a few fun pictures from recently! I took the kids to a mini exhibit called Storyland by the Children's museum! It is a very small version of what they have at the museum right now...it was actually free and we were the only ones there on the day we went!
