I feel like since we have been back, all we have done is run, run, run! We came back home on a Monday, Ryan went back to work on Tuesday, the kids back to daycare (Jack went on a field trip that day) and I cleaned the house, washed clothes, ordered Jack's bday invites and paid bills! That night Ryan had a softball game, Thursday night we went to a parade.....It really is never ending!
During all of our busy summer we have been able to see some great friends! A few weekends ago my friend RaeLynn and her daughter Sophina were home visit from Seattle. We were able to have a quick BBQ at our house so some of us high school girls to chat. Luckily Ryan put up with us :) It was fun to see all of our kiddos and their different personalities...5 kiddos 2.5 and under! We are looking forward to many more fun get togethers through out the summer!
Our kids are just growing up too quick. I cannot believe in a few short weeks Jack will be three! He is so funny--always a new saying! He is walking around saying "what the heck" (which I am not fond of but apparently all the kids at daycare are on this kick), he recently pulled the "can I please have some privacy" comment while going to the bathroom (that is from me!). He is trying to understand the concept of yesterday and tomorrow. Anything that happened before was yesterday (even if it was a few hours ago) and anything that is going to happen is tomorrow!
Lydia is doing well. She has an ear infection right now and I am sure she is teething on top of that. I am hoping the antibiotics start working soon b/c I miss her happy personality. She is saying lots of different words--Rosco, Duke, Go, Duck, ball, baby, byebye, uh-oh, jack, mama, dada, ni-ni (ni-night). She knows what a duck, dog, lion, sheep and monkey all say! She can point to her nose, belly, toes and teeth. (but recently she usually just points to her teeth. She is doing all of these great things but she is still not walking. I know that they say average is between 12-15 months but it is so hard not to compare the two kiddos! (Jack walking at 10 months--lydia almost 13 months and still not walking! :) I know she will get there--she seems to want to but gets scared! Silly girl!
