Our 2nd day at Disney was much more laid back. Since we were up so late the night before and my parents had to attend a meeting, we decided to sleep in and have a relaxing morning at the pool. The kids both slept until after 8 (which really isn't that late!). We ate a light breakfast and headed down to the pool area. Both Jack and Lydia LOVED the pool. Jack was pretty daring with his life jacket on and became a little fish during our vacation. He loved the different fountains and sprinklers that were in the pool! I loved that the pool was a zero entry pool so Lydia could just sit in the opening of the pool and crawl out/move on her own! Our hotel was a really neat place. There was fun music playing down at the pool, a covered playground for kids and even a waterslide! Unfortunately, Jack was too small to go down the water slide but he was just as entertained by watching all of us slide down. He even got grandpa to go down the slide for him. (well, I don't think it took too much convincing!)
After our morning in the pool, we had lunch and headed back to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon/evening. Once we got there we found a spot for the "Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade." While we were waiting, we stood in line to see Pluto. Jack was again really excited! We also were walking along and Mary Poppins just showed up out of no where! (Mom was excited about this one :) The parade was of course great--lots of music and characters. Lydia was waving away, sometimes with two hands! One of the ugly stepsister from Cinderella even came out of character to tell us that Lydia was "about the cutest thing she has seen all day!" We obviously agree with that :)
After the parade, we headed back to Fantasyland to get a fast pass for Peter Pan's flight. A fast pass is a pass that you get, giving you a return time for your ride. You can only have one at a time but they are really nice. When you return you get to go up through the fast pass line and your wait time is usually less than 10 minutes! Since the line for Peter Pan was usually 1.5-2 hrs long, we decided to take advantage of that! After that, we headed back to Frontierland so Mom, Dad and Stephanie could ride a few grown up rides while Jack and Ryan headed to Tom Sawyer Island. Lydia and I just rested--she napped and I people watched for an hour or so. Jack had a great time on Tom Sawyer Island. Ryan said he was shooting crocodiles with the cannons and kept telling Ryan he was the captain. When they all returned we found Tigger and Winnie-the-Pooh. This was most definitely one of my favorite meetings--Jack was all hugs and cuddles with these two. Plus, Pooh and Tigger took so much time with all of them--patting Lydia on the head, signing autographs and standing for a million pictures! (I don't know if it was me being a little sleep deprived but I got a little emotional during this visit!) After our meeting there we had dinner and headed back to Fantasyland for our Fast pass time on Peter Pan. While we were in Fantasyland, we fit in one more ride on It's a Small World. (I just love Lydia's reaction to this ride, she just laughs, points and says ook (look) at everything). We bought Mickey Ears and finished off our evening in Tomorrowland where Ryan and Jack "drove" cars and Jack and I danced with Stitch and Chip-n-Dale! Jack was really sad about leaving the castle when we told him we weren't coming back to Magic Kingdom...but, he quickly perked up when we told him that his breakfast the next morning was going to be with Mickey Mouse.....
