5 Months old!

I just cannot believe that our baby girl turned 5 months old yesterday! Little Miss Lydia is still such a happy baby! SO smiley and talkative--every morning we are woken up by her talking away in her crib. She was sleeping through this night up until this past week when she started getting up around 230 to eat. My 1st thoughts were that she was going through a growth spurt but she has continued to do this for over a week now! Ryan finally convinced me to try some rice cereal last night....lets just say that she wasn't having it :) Lydia is rolling over tummy to back and pretty close to going from back to tummy. She is able to sit up with support and will even hold her own for a few seconds before tipping over. She absolutely LOVES her big brother! No one can make Lydia giggle like Jack can. All he has to do sometimes is say "hi baby" and she bursts out laughing! She is just such a little sweetheart! Oh I love her so much!
No blog update is complete without a little bit about Jack :) This past week he has some new sayings that have both Ryan and I giggling whenever we hear them. One is "maybe not." For example Ryan asked Jack if he could help pick up his toys and Jack's answer was "hmmm, maybe not." So funny how he says it! He is also getting more independent. Wanting to do everything on his own. While it is fun to see him working on getting dressed, climbing in the car, ect, on his own, it makes everything take so much longer! Most of the time I don't mind but on rushed mornings it sometimes ends up in a battle of me trying to help him and him yelling--"I do it myself!" Ahhh, the joys of toddler-hood :)
