Goodbye Road King....

Hi Everyone!
Well this past weekend was a sad one for Ryan and I.....we sold our Harley. I think it was a little harder on Ryan then me since I haven't been able to ride with him this year. When Ryan got laid off we sat down at talked about the best ways to save money with only one income at this time. After looking through all of our bills, we figured the Harley was the smartest thing to try and sell. We really didn't want to but the only other debits we really owe are our house payment, a car payment and then my student loan bills--we really cant get rid of any of those! I promised Ryan that when he got a job and things were more stable, we will get another bike!
Other then selling the Harley it was a really fun weekend :) On Saturday we had my family over for mothers day/birthday celebrations/Dads retirement from the army. My dad, Emily and Jason all have May birthdays and since my dad is turning 50 AND retiring from the Army after 32 years, we thought we would just have one big dinner to celebrate everything! It was fun to have people over and grill out! Then, on Sunday we headed to Blaine to watch my cousin Lucas play baseball. It wasn't the warmest day ever but it was still nice to sit and watch a few games! Lucas was so excited because they won the championship game--plus there were alot his cousins there which made him feel pretty special to have so many people come out to watch him play ball!! After the games, we decided to run a few errands since we there. We ran to Toys R Us and bought the carseat/stroller combo and the baby monitor. It worked out really well because they were having a sale so we got 15% off both items!! I love little surprises like that. That evening we just had a little bonfire on our patio and relaxed--all in all it was pretty good weekend!
This week is just busy with work. Ryan is working with some people he knows installing a fence at Valleyfair all week. Last night he came home exhausted but I think he likes to be doing something instead of just sitting at home. That is really about it! Nothing to exciting planned for the week :)
