HI Everyone-
Things here are ok....really nothing to new to report! I have been having a problem with some pretty crazy weight gain the past month and a half and my OB was lecturing me on diet the last time I was there. I promised her that I am eating really healthy with the occasional "treat!" So, she mention a nutritionist to make sure I know what is really healthy. Needless to say, I was pretty mad and refused to go. WELL, I had my appointment with my endocrinologist yesterday morning--He asked me right of the bat if I had any questions. I literally looked at him and said, could you tell me why I am getting SO FAT! He actually could! It turns out I have been VERY "hypothyroid" the last two months!! Go figure, you think my OB would have thought to check that out--instead of immediately call me a liar! I was a little ticked to say the least. The only good thing was that I really had no control over the weight gain. I could have been eating just a piece of toast for each meal and would have still gained weight like crazy! My endocrinologist decreased my meds from 8 pills a day to 3--so that should help ALOT! He believes that my weight will just kind of even out the rest of the pregnancy if we watch my labs a little closer again!
The baby is looking really good still--he is very active and it has gotten to the point where I can actually see my stomach moving when he kicks! It is so fun! Ryan and I continue to work on the baby's room little by little. The only thing left for us to do is the trim around the floor! I am so excited! We did put up the crib and changing table this last week since we needed to make sure there weren't any missing pieces, ect before the end of the month. All of this is making everything so real!
Ryan has been working on a dresser for the baby's room. Well, last night I was at a friends house for dinner when she got a text from another friend of ours. Turns out Ryan was looking for me and my phone didn't ring there! Well, he was working on the dresser and shot himself with the nail gun! Right through his middle finger! Luckily he was able to call my mom and she kind of walked him through some first aide! I am kind of glad I wasn't there.....my stomach isn't the same since being pregnant so I don't think I would have handled that well. I did make him go in today to get a tetanus shot since he was due! Sometimes I just don't know what I am going to do with him :)
Well--I'm off! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Super bummer w/ the thyroid stuff, kiddo. :( No fun. I can't wait to see the baby's room!!! Now that IS fun (for us who didn't have to do all the work) ;)
ReplyDeleteYep, Ryan would do that... soon he will have no fingers left.
