baby 2

Hello all! This update will mostly be about baby 2! This past Tuesday I had my doctors appointment--I cannot believe I am already 23 weeks along! I have one more appointment in a month and after that I will be seeing my OB every 2 weeks--I just cannot believe I am almost to that point already! Anyways, my appointment went very well. I still am being treated like a normal patient! When I was pregnant with Jack, I was seeing the OB every two weeks and my endocrinologist every two weeks (so I was pretty much seeing someone weekly!) I am also very excited that I am half way through this pregnancy and have had no weight gain--only weight loss. I am sure a big part of this is my thyroid. I am lucky that this time it seems to be much more under control.....It is interesting that I was so out of sorts before I was pregnant, but it seems like pregnancy has straightened things out on that end :) Even though I haven't gained any weight I am still measuring ahead, by 3 cm! I was 23 weeks and measured 26! No big surprise considering I did that with Jack almost the entire pregnancy--I guess I just make big babies. My OB and I made a plan for me to see a different doctor at 28 weeks. I am going to try for a VBAC (for those of you that don't know what that is here is some info http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vbac/MY01143). The hospital where I had Jack no longer does these so I am going to have a consult with a OB who delivers at Mercy. The plan is to see him twice and if I go into labor on my own, I will deliver at Mercy. If not, I will have a scheduled c-section with my OB in Cambridge. Keep your fingers crossed that I go into labor on my own before or close to my due date!!! That's not too much to ask, right? ;)
