hi everyone..I figured since Ryan and Jack are taking a nap together I would update on here quick. The last week has gone by VERY fast yet is seems like Jack has been part of our lives forever. The first few nights at home were a bit rough to say the least. Ryan had to return to work bright and early Monday morning so Jack and I camped out downstairs the first night. Jack was waking up to eat every 2 hours and it was taking him and hour to nurse so needless to say I was pretty burnt out the first few nights. After going to our first doctors appointment I found out the my milk supply was literally nothing and that is why he was waking up to eat so much! I tried some medications and I will go back to the doctor tomorrow. Unfotunatly the meds are not really working and I am only able to pump about 2 ounces every 4 hours if I am lucky so Jack is getting mostly formula. Like the labor/delivery, I can say I put in the effort again but it just isnt going to work.
Anyways, once supplementing Jack with formula he back a MUCH more content baby. He sleeps for about 3-4 hours at a time at night so I cannot complain. Plus Ryan gets to fed him sometimes so that kind of helps (well, he doesnt do any night feedings yet but we are working on that :) Jack has already been to his first softball game and he spent his first night at grandma and grandpa Gardners (with mom and dad). He has been to church for the first time and even we to a church bazaar on sunday! He is a busy little guy. Things are going to get much busier these next few weeks. I have my sisters bridal shower this weekend and Ryan has to work sat. Then the next Sunday is Jack's Baptism. His Grandma Becky and Aunt Anna will be here visiting also! So that will be a fun but busy weekend. Here are a few pictures of Jack the past week-As you can see he has already grown! He was fitting into newborn clothing but not anymore!
