HI Everyone! The nice thing is that there really isn't to much stuff to update :) Ryan and I spent the weekend up at my parents so that was fun. It was nice because my nephews were there so they kept everyone busy. I would have to say that they are two of the cutest kids EVER but they sure do have a lot of energy. Their new thing is tattling! Alex seemed to have targeted Ryan for the source of all his problems! Alex was running and landed face first into the garbage can--he then proceeded to tell grandma that Ryan pushed him! Poor Ryan wasn't even in the same room as him :) Funny how kids think they can get by with some things!
On Saturday my mom, Stephanie and I headed to the mall! I had every intention of finally buying something for the baby. We went to Target to get the crib but it was out of stock! I didn't think to grab a rain check for the sale price because I was just going to order it online. I went order the crib and sure enough it was out of stock online too! So, we never got the crib or a rain check for the sale price! Oh well! I did get all the bedding for the crib. (thanks mom!) Now we can get some paint samples to match and go from there. I was super bummed because at the end of the shopping trip, I still hadn't bought one single item for the baby!! Oh well, there is still lots of time. Its not like the baby doesnt have anything. My Grandma Lange gave us a quilt she made and a silver cup that was my Uncle Chucks when we was a baby. Pretty sure we wont be using that! Ryan was very happy with a gift my aunt gave us--a camouflage fleece snowsuit! I think if he had the choice, our baby would only wear camo!
Also, I have decided to no longer discuss names with Ryan. If you ask me, he is being a little ridiculous. One of my co-workers had a list of 40 names and he did not like ONE! Not even a maybe. So, we aren't going to even discuss it until I am labor--then we will see if he wants to go against my ideas ;)
This week isnt too busy for us. I have a doctors appointment tonight with my OB. This weekend we are watching my friends little girl so they can have a night away! It will be good for Ryan to be around a 13 month old--good practice for him :) Thats about it! Thanks for checking in!

ReplyDeleteI hear you on the name pain. Kurt insists that our first son will be Kurt Jr. This will not come to pass -- even if I have to have all daughters to make sure ;).
ReplyDeleteAnd also -- my father thought that my name was going to be Laura right up to immediately after my birth. My mom waited until then to inform him that I looked like an 'Alison' instead, even though she had chosen that name about four months prior to my birth. So, I can tell you, your strategy will work!! My dad went right along w/ it...heh heh heh...
